BMW ULTRA-LITE Competition Flywheels |
|
Our ULTRA-LITE competition flywheels
are designed to enhance vehicle performance by reducing
the static flywheel weight and
more importantly, the Moment of Inertia (MOI) to near minimum
which allows the engine to "rev" quicker thus
increasing the vehicle's acceleration rate. These flywheels
are designed for off-highway competition usage only and
utilize reduced diameter multi-disc racing clutches. These
clutch systems require a properly installed and adjusted
clutch pedal stop to control clutch pedal travel. These
flywheels and clutch systems are not suitable for street
driven vehicles.

- Replaceable, hardened steel friction surface

- Helicoil inserts installed as required

Notes:
(1) When ordering for use in 2002 models the transmission must be specified.
Original 2002 transmissions require our TOB/bobbin p/n 551-254. If an E21
320 transmission is being employed, TOB/bobbin p/n 551-250 is required.
(2) This flywheel is designed for Sachs 200mm RCS components. Available
on custom order only.
(3) All Racing clutch kits require the installation of a clutch pedal stop
to prevent clutch damage due to overtravel. |
